How fit do I need to be? Wadi Rum Overland and Petra by Backdoor involve three to five hours of walking a day on sand and rocky paths. South in Full adds a 14 km downhill walk in Dana.
Do I need a visa? Most nationalities can buy a visa on arrival. The Jordan Pass covers the visa fee if you stay three nights or more, and we include it in the price.
Can you meet dietary needs? Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals are available on every route if you tell us when booking.
Broken-in walking shoes, a sun hat, sunglasses and SPF 50. A warm jacket and a hat for the evenings: desert nights drop to 5°C in winter. A headtorch, a swimsuit for Aqaba, and a scarf for sun and dust. Pack in a soft bag, not a hard suitcase, so it fits in the 4x4.
A 20% deposit secures your place, and the balance is due 14 days before departure. Cancel more than 30 days before and we refund everything except the deposit. Between 30 and 14 days, 50% is refunded. Within 14 days no refund is possible, but you can transfer your place to someone else free of charge. We recommend travel insurance.
